At ALTEN Technology, I am on the Community Outreach Committee. Our mission is to give back to the community through charitable contributions and volunteered time and effort. An an outreach member, I help to encourage employee efforts to give back to the community and support community causes. One of the recurring events hosted at ALTEN for which I have taken over planning is Sweet Case Duffel Bag Decorating in support of Foster Love. As the planner, I am responsible for promoting the event, coordinating with Foster Love, acquiring all supplies, setup/cleanup, and overseeing the event the day of.
Another fun event I enjoy volunteering at is Bike to Work Day. ALTEN Technology sets up a tent along the route for bikers to stop in at. While I am not an avid bike rider myself, it's nice to see so many who are, cheer them on, and give them food and swag.
