With my former colleague and friend, Hiral Gandhi, I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for a day to help build affordable houses for lower income families in Denver, CO. We helped lift and carry many boards and firewall, saw boards to the appropriate length, and nail together frames.

I love work that allows me to get my hands dirty. It is so rewarding to see the fruits of my labor and know that I've had a hand in bettering the community. One of the main reasons I became an engineer is because of my strong belief that through helping each other, we uplift ourselves.

I hope that with my increased free time as a recent graduate, I can now dedicate more time to volunteering. Before college, I used to volunteer quite a bit at homeless shelters, food banks, and other facilities.
