HOME RENOVATIONS
May 2021 - Aug 2021
I am a homeowner! With help from my dad, my husband and I renovated our house for 3.5 months while working full time. Renovations included: kitchen demolition to make the house open concept, reflooring, electrical rewiring and changes to bring the 1994-built house up to code, misc. electrical work to add ceiling lights, master bathroom expansion, drywall repair, interior repainting, and much more!
ASL (BEGINNER)
May 2020
I have always been fascinated by ASL and wanted to learn it. I was finally able to in my last semester at CU Boulder and loved it! I plan to continue practicing and learning ASL on my own.
SOLUTIONS ENGINEER INTERN
May 2019 - Oct 2019
I interned at Anark Corporation, which is a software company in Boulder, CO. As a Solutions Engineer Intern, I assisted with logging bugs, ensuring customer satisfaction, creating 3D models for the development team to use, and writing automated browser tests. There, I learned various software including NX, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, Katalon, and Visual Studio Code.
ROBOSUB
Feb 2018 - Feb 2020
At CU Boulder, I joined the RoboSub club which is an interdisciplinary team with the goal of creating an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that can successfully navigate a series of tasks at the international summer competition. At the start of my junior year, I became the Mechanical Team Lead and that year we were finalists in the competition. We placed 7th out of 55 teams which was a jump from the previous year's placement of 76th percentile to 87th percentile.
FOAM WALL
Aug 2019
I moved apartments during the summer before my senior year. The unit had two floors and my room was essentially a loft, as it was open to the rest of the unit. With the help of my dad, I constructed a foam wall to close off my room. My room was the top floor in the apartment, so the ceilings and thus the walls were angled.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Jan 2019
With my former colleague and friend, Hiral Gandhi, I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for a day to help build affordable houses for lower income families in Denver, CO. We helped lift and carry many boards and firewall, saw boards to the appropriate length, and nail together frames.
BAHIA BEACH CONSTRUCTION
May 2017
I traveled to Bahía de Caráquez, Ecuador with a small group of CU Boulder and UC Berkeley students. We volunteered to help rebuild homes that were destroyed in the massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake in April 2016. The homes were rebuilt using bamboo in an effort to promote sustainability and increase seismic stability, as compared to the primarily concrete homes.
