I moved apartments during the summer before my senior year. The unit had two floors and my room was essentially a loft, as it was open to the rest of the unit. With the help of my dad, I constructed a foam wall to close off my room. My room was the top floor in the apartment, so the ceilings and thus the walls were angled. The walls (purple) are supported by a wooden frame. Since I was limited by my one year lease, I built a cheap and easy to disassemble solution for privacy.
This is one of many DIY projects I have worked on with my dad. He's taught me how to use power tools, take precise measurements, and other basic skills that allow me to build just about anything. My dad has always been a great inspiration to me.
